In this week’s Brain Food video, I wanted to share something I’ve been trying to do more consistently. When I see a friend (or even a stranger) in a bad situation, I am trying to retrain myself to ACT.
We’ve all said to someone we care about, “If there is anything I can to do help, please let me know!” And we really mean that, but it puts the burden on the person that is already burdened. It will take a particularly bad situation for them to take you up on that offer.
So please take a few minutes to watch this video. I share a couple of stories about putting this idea into action. Let me know if this resonates with you. And if you have a gift idea or act of service that you do on a regular basis for people you see are hurting, I hope you will share it with me.
And thank you for reading and listening to my stories. I really appreciate it!
