Hello, friends. Thanks for tuning into this week’s marketing blog/video. It’s been a while since I’ve done a higher level discussion about marketing. A lot of the time I’m trying to do a very specific thing within the world of marketing, like a LinkedIn tip or the importance of branding. Today, I wanted to stay at a bit higher level.
We’re getting into spring, and it’s time to think about what you’re doing yourself and at your company to move the ball forward from a marketing perspective. What does marketing actually mean to you? Things have changed significantly in terms of what we do with our sales and marketing efforts. I wanted to start out by reading a quote that I found on Investopedia.
Marketing refers to activities a company undertakes to promote the buying or selling of a product or service. Marketing includes advertising, selling and delivering products to consumers or other businesses.

I think it’s interesting that this definition wraps selling within the realm of marketing. And I dive into this and a lot more in my video this week. I hope you will take the time to watch and I hope that it helps you to think about your current efforts… and maybe enhance them. As a result of your marketing efforts, the goal would be for people to view you as the trustworthy, likable, subject matter expert in your field. That will definitely improve the chances that they will end up buying something from you.
Thanks again for watching! I’d love to hear your comments, and I’ll see you next week.
