Calendly will save you time locking in meetings with clients.

Hello, friends. I’m going to share something I learned at a recent Entrepreneurs Alliance event. Tony Sheets from Umzuzu was there and he shared this awesome tool called Calendly. I’d heard about it before but had made some faulty assumptions about how it worked. So I wanted to share that with you because it’s an amazing plugin for Outlook or Google that lets you set times to meet with people. It takes all the effort out of the back and forth that normally happens. So watch the video and I’ll save you some time scheduling meetings!

The Problem: Agreeing on a time to meet.

So you’re trying to set a meeting with somebody, right? And you send them an email. First of all, you have to pull up your calendar and you have to see what’s available. You could put them in an hour here or 30 minutes there, and you send them an email with dates and times. You’re typing all of that stuff up and then you hear back from them and they say, no, they’ve got a conflict. (Shakes fists at the sky…)

Next, you have to look at different dates and times and email those. The back and forth happens. This process is inefficient, and I’ve been doing that for years and years.

The Solution: Calendly.

Calendly is a web based application that connects with Google Calendar or Outlook. It allows you to specify meeting scheduling rules and your daily working hours. And then the magic happens. But you’ve got to watch the video… I don’t want to try to explain with 12 paragraphs of text that you wouldn’t want to read. :)

The summary is that your client gets to pick a time that is open on your calendar (because Calendly shows them). There is zero back and forth. Even better? There’s a Zoom meeting already set up because I integrated Zoom with my Calendly account.

It might be time for you to give Calendly a test drive. Try it out and see how it works for you. It’s going to save me so much time! And if you use it, I know it will save you time as well.
