Hello friends! My video this week is a marketing and LinkedIn related video. The inspiration for this one came from a recent conversation I had with a friend of mine named Jeff. The topic was around the best way to handle doing LinkedIn profile updates based on role changes. (I expanded this to include tips for job changes as well.)
One of the big points of discussion was whether or not to create a brand new position if you are changing roles, but staying at the same company. So I cover that. I also cover turning off network updates to your connections until you have completed multiple updates. I even show you exactly where to go to toggle that setting in your Visibility settings on LinkedIn.
