Deliver on Your Verbal Contracts

Hello friends! This week, my topic is verbal contracts. What is a verbal contract? It’s anything that you say that you are going to do. It’s that simple.

Here are some quick examples:

  • I will send you a check tomorrow to get that invoice satisfied
  • I am going to cover three things in my presentation today
  • After our coffee meeting I will send you an email

Why am I covering this today?

Because I recently didn’t fulfill a verbal contract during a LinkedIn training session and a good friend mentioned it to me. All the details are in my video.

Bottom line?

If you say you are going to do something, make sure you have a process or system that allows you to deliver on that verbal contract. People will feel you are even more dependable and trustworthy when you deliver consistently on your verbal contracts.
