Hello friends! You know I like to take real world things happening in my business and talk about them in my YouTube videos. Well, this is another story like that. I was talking with a LinkedIn training customer of mine about best practices for getting construction projects posted to a new website. My response is that the most important thing to do is make sure you capture the photos first.
When you capture photos of the many things you are doing in your company on a weekly/monthly basis, you are building the framework for good storytelling. And that is Marketing 101. To tell a good story, you need good photos to back it up. Often, a good story idea comes from just looking at the photos!
In my video this week, I talk about this concept and why taking photos should be an important focus in your organization. To prove the point, I share a slideshow of recent photos I have in my iPhone camera gallery. I don’t even realize that I automatically get my camera out to capture moments. I have been doing it for so long, it’s just natural to do so. Many people don’t have that habit yet, so it might be time to focus on making that your goal.
Create habits around taking photos for your company. It will help you in almost every aspect of your business. Why? Because when you take photos with your clients, photos at community events, and photos with your team, you are making a case for the existence of your company. If you have a successful, growing company, you will have a ton of stories to tell. And if you don’t have pictures to back those stories up, it is so less impactful.
I hope you enjoy this video. Let me know if you have any questions about building a best practice in your company around taking photos! Thanks as always for reading and watching my videos!
